In this paper, a remote monitoring system is described. The functions of the system are to monitor the operation status of the equipment in unmanned seismic observatory, the interior commercial power supply condition, indoor temperature and humidity, interior security guard and alarm. The regional seismic network centers can find the observation equipment failure and deal with some simple failures throng the special network, performs emergency treatment of the damaged auxiliary equipment.
