赫斯特指数H值在地震预报中有一定预报意义，作者编制H值计算程序，针对辽宁地区进行地震学参数的H值分析研究，旨在探索中强地震前H值的异常变化特征，依据研究结果判定辽宁地区未来2-3年发生5级以上地震的概率为0.75。

The Value H of Hurst Index is significant in earthquake prediction. The preparation of the Value H calculation procedure, the research and analysis of the Value H of the seismological parameters of the region of Liaoning ,are aimed at exploring the abnormal variation of the Value H before the medio-strong and strong earthquake. According to the result of the research, it can be determined that the probability of the earthquake with the magnitude higher than 5 in the coming two or three years is 0.75.
