The paper uses Matlab programming for realization of separating overlapped seismic signal using wavelet packages transform for extraction of time-frequency features and optimum wavelet packet group method based on threshold entropy. It has shown that the method can find clearly the overlapping position of homologous seismic providing accurate, reliable phase identi- fication and improving the precision of earthquake locationfor earthquake location through the study of Keping Ms5.2 earthquake and follow-up Ml4.7 aftershock.
